Green smoothies are smoothies made with green fruits and leafy vegetables. It is purely made up of what you add to your blender. They are a great way consume vegetables if you are not in the mood to snack on them or eat salads.

Improves Digestion and Absorption: Because smoothies are already in semi- liquid form, there is no pressure on the digestive system to digest them. The digestive system normally breaks down foods to a state that is absolved by the body. But because smoothies are already blended to a smooth form, it improves digestion and absorption of nutrients by the body.

1 Small sized cucumber

1 cup of cold water

Method: Add everything in a blender and blend smooth. Enjoy!

1 handful of baby spinach

1/2 medium sized Avocado

1 ripe banana

1 kiwi

1 table spoon of ground chia seeds

1 cup of almond milk

Add in a blender and blend smooth. Enjoy!

Smoothie 3

This is one of my favorite green smoothie diet recipe because it is also anti-inflammatory smoothie because it contains blueberries, turmeric and ginger which have anti-inflammatory properties.

1/2 green apple

1 handful of baby spinach

1/2 cup of green grapes

1/2 cup of blueberries

30g of fresh tumeric

30g of fresh ginger

1 cup of cold water.

Blend smooth and enjoy!

Smoothie 4

1/2 cup of chopped green apples

1/2 cup of frozen kale

1/2 cup of zucchini

handful of parsley

Some honey

2 cups of water

some ice cubes (optional)

Blend smooth and enjoy.

Smoothie 5

2 green apples

2 cucumbers

4 stalks of celery

2 handful of spinach

1 knob of ginger

1/2 lemon

2 cups of water

Blend smooth and enjoy!

Smoothie 6

1 cup of chopped spinach

1 pear

1/2 cup of peaches

1 table spoon of ground flaxseeds

1 cup of water

Blend smooth and enjoy!

Smoothie 7

1/2 ripe avocado

1 handful of baby spinach

1 ripe banana

1/2 cup of blueberries

1 cup of almond milk

some ice

1 tsp of chia seeds

Blend smooth and enjoy!

The quality of your smoothie depends on what it is made of. Add more greens to make it super nutritious.
